Dr. Federico F. Lago
Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Federico Lago was born and grew up in Connecticut. The son of modest working class immigrants, he was raised to appreciate the opportunities this great country has to offer. Following high school, Dr. Lago attended Brown University in Rhode Island, where he received a Bachelors of Science in Biology. After participating in a summer internship at the University of Connecticut Health Center, he realized that dentistry was the perfect way to apply his love for biology towards a fullfilling career in health care. He subsequently enrolled in the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. It was at UConn that Dr. Lago discovered how satisfying the sound of children's laughter could be. This led him to New York, where he earned a Certificate of Specialty Training in Pediatric Dentistry at Schneider Children's Hospital. He then completed a Fellowship in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Maryland, where he split his time teaching and practicing in a dental clinic for children of an underserved community. In the summer of 2003 he joined our practice, and he's been making kids smile ever since.
Dr. Lago is a member of the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Society, and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Throughout his dental training he received several distinctions for research and academic achievement. He lives with his wife, Reem, who is also a pediatric dentist. They are the proud parents of Noah and twin sons, Alec and Christian.
